Congratulations on 40 years in
business! That is really an accomplishment! And
thank you very much for the support you have given
my music over some of those years! It is an honor
and a pleasure to know you, Pooh! Okay, my 3 favorite albums: First, it is very difficult to
decide on only 3 - as you know! But I will try. 1. The Yes Album -- Yes
(1971) I loved Steve Howe's guitar
playing, on both acoustic and electric guitars. The
song The Clap made a huge impression on me and I
fell in love with fingerstyle guitar immediately
when I heard this music. 2. 6 & 12 String Guitar
-- Leo Kotke (1969) I heard this album on my first
night at college, in 1973. It almost made my head
explode. I was amazed at the beauty and power that
Leo drew out of his guitars. 3. The White Album -- The
Beatles (1968) I was given this album for
Christmas that year. And like millions of other
people, I fell in love with it. In January 1969,
when school resumed after the Christmas holiday, I
was talking to a guy in the lunch line. He also had
received this album for Christmas. He was a drummer
and I played guitar, so we started talking about
music and quickly became friends. A few days later
we got together and started playing music. I
haven't stopped... Again --- CONGRATULATIONS TO
POOH YOKOCHO FOR 40 YEARS OF BRINGING MUSIC TO

40年にわたりこの仕事を続けてこられたというのは実に素晴らしい業績です。そして幾年もの間、私の音楽をサポートして下さっていることに大変感謝しています。Pooh、貴方と知り合えたことを嬉しく、また誇りに思います。 オーケー、「私の好きな３枚のアルバム」ですね。 1. The Yes Album -- Yes (1971) (YESのメンバーの)スティーヴ・ハウのギター・プレイがアコースティックとエレクトリックどちらも大好きでした。収録曲「The
Clap」は私にとても大きな感動を与えました。この曲を聴いた途端、私はフィンガースタイル・ギターに恋してしまったのです。 2. 6 & 12 String Guitar -- Leo Kotke
(1969) 1973年、このアルバムを聴いたのは大学生活を始めた最初の夜でした。頭が爆発するかと思いました。レオが彼のギターで描き上げたその美しさとパワーに驚嘆したのです。 3. The White Album -- The Beatles
(1968) (アルバムが発売された)1968年にクリスマス・プレゼントとして贈られたのです。 もう一度、プー横丁40周年おめでとう! Poohさん、よろしく!

でも、やってみましょう。
他の何百万人の人たちと同様、私もこのアルバムが大好きになりました。翌1969年の１月、クリスマス休暇の後に新学期が始まると、私は昼食時の(食堂の)長い行列の中にいた１人の男に話しかけていました。彼も『ホワイト・アルバム』をクリスマスにプレゼントされたのです。彼はドラマーで私はギターを弾く(ということが分かり)、音楽の事を話し始めるとスグに友達になりました。数日後に再び会い、一緒に演奏するようになったのです。(それ以来というもの)私は演奏するのを止めることなく….(ずっと続けているのです)。
